Online employee handbooks for not-for-profits

Online employee handbooks seem to be big thing lately. Having them on the Web means they’re easy to update AND prospective employees can see them too – potentially a good thing for not-for-profit organisations keen to attract new staff and volunteers.

Employee handbooks need to cover the rules and policies of your workplace, but this doesn’t mean they have to be dull. They can be a great opportunity too. Let prospective employees know

  • what it is that makes your organisation a good place to work
  • what difference you’re making in the community
  • what you expect from your employees
  • and what they can expect from you
