Being contracted to Edith Cowan University affords us the unique opportunity of designing and print managing the role out of the schools course guides each year, working closely with the marketing team to ensure the design reflects the current student recruitment campaign whilst adhering to the corporate style guidelines.

The How

The process begins with a planning and branding meeting with ECU and their contracted advertising agency to discuss the direction of the annual student recruitment campaign and how that looks in respect to the course guide design.

Key considerations each year are stocks and inks, these not only need to best reflect the design but need to consider the environmental standards set out by the university. Key2creative have been instrumental in introducing ECU to paper stocks sourced from sustainable resources, with environmental accreditations, that use renewable energy where possible and our print suppliers only use vegetable inks.

The Outcome

The end result is 13 course guides with a distinct design relationship that reflect the flagship recruitment campaign delivered on time and on brand for the ECU Open Day to inform and recruit new students.
