VisAbility website

VisAbility has been supporting people with low or no vision in Western Australia for over 100 years.

We’ve worked extensively with the VisAbility team over recent years, including their full rebrand. And we jumped at the opportunity to help with with a new website design and build.

The How

We've long known that websites can be highly accessible and look great, and we had the opportunity to prove that with the VisAbility website.

In fact, that opportunity came round again with several of their websites including Perron Place and Kites Therapy.

Key2 pride ourselves on making sure the whole team is accessibility aware, and providing training, particularly for the design and development team.

Being able to conduct user testing with people with low and no vision, and getting great feedback from the team at VisAbility enabled us to make sure we could go further than meeting the WCAG guidelines and also handle some of the quirks of screenreaders like JAWS.

The Outcome

As a testament to the great work done by Key2's web development team with the support of the digital access team at VisAbility, the website was a finalist in the Australian Access Awards.

Town of Mosman Park

For a local government, the Town of Mosman Park website is a particular standout. It looks great and serves the community well.
